The
DEW Point Resource Centre generates and disseminates knowledge on behalf
of DFID staff and their development partners in the areas of
environment, climate change, water resources and water and sanitation.
It is managed by a consortium of companies led by Harewelle
International, and including NR International and Practical Action.
Source-KM has advised the consortium from the tender stage and has
designed and delivered Dew Point’s online knowledge portal and enquiries
mangement service (www.dewpoint.org.uk
from Aug 07).
The
Marketplace for Agricultural Information and Services (MPAIS)
is an innovative information and services trading platform being
implemented by Nkoola Institutional Development Assocates (NIDA) in
rural Uganda. The MPAIS services enables
rural users to access relevant information and services and purchase
them using virtual information credits. Source-KM is working closely
with NIDA and the Ugandan Government as a consultant and provides the
MPAIS portal technology as a managed hosted service (www.mpaisuganda.com).
Sistema
de Informacion y Conocimiento Tecnologico Agropecuario y Forestal
(SICTAF) is a natural resources
information and knowledge community in Bolivia. Still in pilot, SICTAF’s
membership is drawn from actors across the agricultural and NR
innovation system including local communities, universities, research
bodies and the Ministry of Agriculture (MDRAyMA). Source-KM has advised
SICTAF from it’s inception and was also responsible for designing and
delivering the SICTAF web portal at (www.sictafpiloto.net).
